1. Use Textured Wallpaper
Make a statement in your powder room, living room, dining room or bedroom with wallpaper. Grasscloth wallpaper brings warmth and texture. Try textured wallpaper that's paintable to match your room's decor. There's also wallpaper that mimics different wall textures such as wood plank, brick, marble, terrazzo and more. Peel-and-stick wallpaper is great for renters with the ability to easily remove it without damaging your walls when you move out.
2. Wall Moulding
Decorative moulding is one of the easiest and most affordable ways to turn plain white walls into bold and sophisticated spaces. Choose moulding for any style including: Art Deco, Victorian, Craftsman, Mid-Century Modern styles and much more.
If you prefer a more traditional or European feel, picture moulding is a great option. If you love a modern farmhouse or coastal aesthetic, board and batten is an appropriate choice. Are you ready to get started?

3. Faux Plastered Walls
Plastered cement walls have made a comeback in the last few years, but real plastered walls are expensive to create. We have four faux treatments that will add warmth and depth to your space. Mimic the look with wallpaper, joint compound wall treatment, Venetian plaster paint or limewash paint.
The kitchen that you see above was created with a limewash paint that's made from natural lime, limestone, powdered marble, pigments and eco-friendly binders. It can be brushed, rolled, sprayed or sponged to walls, ceilings, plaster, brick, stone and more. Choose from a textured or smooth finish.
4. Beadboard
Beadboard is usually found in bathrooms and kitchens in more traditional or rustic settings. It's typically installed on the bottom half of walls with a chair rail on top. But it can also be used in mudrooms, laundry rooms, hallways and even on the ceiling.
Installation is quick and easy. Beadboard is usually found in white, but it can be painted to match your wall color.
5. Shiplap
As the modern farmhouse trend rose in popularity, shiplap became an interior design staple. But it's actually been around for hundreds of years. Originally used in shipbuilding, it was often used on the exterior of homes, barns and sheds.
Shiplap works well in coastal homes, rustic settings and traditional homes. As shown, it brings texture and depth to a bright entryway. But it can be used in mudrooms, laundry rooms, powder rooms and as accent walls in a living or dining space.
6. Fluted Walls
Fluted walls can be found everywhere these days. These panels can be painted, stained or found in warm wood tones that work well in modern spaces. Installation is simple by using paneling adhesive or a brad nailer.
This is an easy DIY project that can be done in a weekend to add texture to your space. Install on kitchen islands, banquettes, cabinet doors, walls and more.
7. Faux Brick
Unless you're in an older home or condo that has original brick walls, it would be costly to construct one in your home. But the look can be recreated using faux brick hardboard panels and some paint. To make it look more authentic, we recommend caulking the seams and filling any nail holes. These hardboard panels are also available in geometric and abstract panels.
